Hello all ,
Im new to the land of crusiers , but remember seeing the aid agency 70 series crusiers lined up next to the airport in Gib , thinking nice ....
Anyway at present i run a G wagen for laning which has difflocks as standard .
so the replacement crusier must have lockers , 80 series in the UK or import a 70 series ?
having looked at traders websites in Germany theres a nice 70 series with locker front and rear ..yummy ..
anyway there must be a reason this modal wasnt imported ?
will i come across any problem ?
are there any in the UK ?
cheers

Which 7* series are we talking about? There are light duty and heavy duty and every number from 70 to 79 series is covered and from 1984 till 2007.
They also come in about 10 engine configurations.
The suspension comes in coils or leaves or coil front, leaf rears
Most if not all had at least a rear locker as an option. Some countries like Australia had a LSD a standard
The ARB air lockers are the best option for landcruisers without factory lockers.
There are 2 ways factory lockers can be activated ,electric and cable.
The cable is much preferred by serious offroaders as dirt and moisture do not affect them.
The ARB air lockers are very similar in the mechanical side of thing to Toyotas but as the name suggest ,they use air to activate them.
Either from a tank or compressor.
Why didnt England get the heavy duty types?.Toyota probably thought it too hard to take on Landrover on its home turf _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier
