All New Prado Released (120 Series station wagon simply Toyota Land Cruiser in the UK market) - the new Prado was released late in 2002 in both GX and VX turbo diesel form utilizing the an intercooled version of the 3.0 L KZ-TE engine found in the Hilux.
This oil burner produces 96 kW and 343 N·m of torque.
From April 2003, a new 4.0 L V6 petrol engine became available, delivering 183 kW and 382 N·m.
Both models now come with 17 in (432 mm) wheels, limiting tyre choice.
The new Prado’s body has 60% more torsional rigidity, leading to improved off and on-road performance, lower noise and better quality. _________________ If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Just a thank you for creating this section. I am a new member, new to Toyota Landcruisers (See New members). To date I have not posted any questions as I have been a little unsure as to where to but them!!!
At least now I can post and only have to worry about silly questions in hopefully the Right section!!!!!! |

|
|
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and had difficulty in trying to write a post, joined today as over the last few weeks I have noticed the ride being a little bumpy at the rear...checked the ride height switch and also the sport/comfort switch, changing the ride which was ok for a while, then yesterday driving up my lane..well a dirt track, I felt like someone had nicked my rear tyres,(new BFG's) all ok, wheels sit higher in the arch now, and even driving on a flat road is unbelievably harsh to my frail bones!!
Just to give you some idea of its past..., I've owned it for 8 1/2yrs 121k on the clock, regular servicing, snorkel, underbody protection, and lots of Offroading in and around the Lakes, Derby, loads in Wales, Strata Florida, (love that place) the turkey run, Nant y Moch.... used to go every weekend so it's had its fair share off mud & water... (Toyota's are the Best standard 4x4 there is by the way, even better with a bit of bling on.... not done anything over the last 6 months..
It's recently had the underbody wax oiled, and having read the forum from previous Cruisers was wondering if this may have caused a problem, all this has happened in the last month....
Any off you experts out there that may have a solution, I would love to hear from you. And I s this likely to be an expensive problem... I hope not.
Thanks in advance |
