Well then I was just wondering how many Amateurs there are on this site?
I am an amateur myself but still only a 2E0 due to lack of time to get a full license..
I have been on the radio for years in other country's and decided to get a UK license when I got here...
My callsign is: 2E0HRS
I was just wondering what radio's you have in the truck...
I am thinking of putting the 2mtr and the 10mtr/ 27mc back in...
The only problem is that 2mtrs and the repeaters seem to be full of .......... now...
So I might just throw a CB in for off-roading...
anyway just thought I check how many ham's there are here... _________________ Early K-reg (UK truck) Landcruiser Amazon 4.2 TD VX |

Hi,
I hold a South African licence (don't operate in the UK though). Still not got my backside into gear and converted the licence. Apparently it's just a form I need to complete.
Cheers,
Crispin

Depends on how we do in the rugby today.
Yes - I am South African. Jo'burg stomping ground.
My radios are still in SA. Not shipped stuff over yet (Been 6 years now). Have an Icon 2m handheld and a 2m / 70cm mobile.
I really should get my act together and convert the licence.
Cheers,
Crispin |

I have 2 transceviers in mine. one is a 70cms/2m and the other is a 10/11/12m so 11m for CB.
Call sign is M6PIH and I have an HF here to put in the house when I get around to getting wire to transmit on and a ATU.

I'm not yet but thinking of doing my license, if only so I can get a rig (want a Kenwood with the built in APRS / TMC) and try out APRS with the Computer Aided Dispatch system I'm working on with some guys in the states. Got vehicle tracking with GPS working but want to go the whoe smash with APRS - plus it's free once you have the kit rather than paying for every data packet sent. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto
