Thanks to Tony and Julian for organising the weekend. Had a great time as usual even though I had a slight technical issue.

There were plenty of people having fun and there was plenty of other damage too. Not to mention Ian's diff - oops just did.

Thanks for that I was really annoyed when it went. All the abuse I give that truck and a simple tow out stuffs the diff. I have lost count of the number of times I've said never tow in reverse, what do I go and do
I have not stripped it down yet but am expecting a less impressive version of LCs ring gear.
Hopefully John B will be able to post some video of the mad how high can Ian jump his truck session we had while most of you were in Wales on Saturday.
I am glad others have made it up the hill, need to find the next challenge now, there is a very nice looking slope on the "farm drive".

Chances are it was some forward stress that cracked the gear and that recovery in reverse was just too much for the results of that. I think you might just have a chipped tooth or if the diff wasn't locked it's always possible one of the carrier side gears has lost a tooth which is very unusual but I wouldn't rule it out on your symptoms unless the diff was locked. Just how hard were you pulling? _________________ Jon m0zxj

I did my side steps in in that ditch as well, had to cable tie one back on... At least i can now justify getting rock sliders, yay!

I think matching side steps is a recurrent theme I had bruised mine before Lincomb and am also looking to replace them with rock sliders

we noticed you jumping up and down on the passenger side one in the camping field when we dropped the quad back _________________ Jon m0zxj

Thanks to everyone who came a long. Really like the new tracks in the wood, "big red" i think we can call it, as it seems pure sand. Challenging but do able! Especially when you get more power!!!!! I love my cruiser again now, thanks Toby Ian John and Julian for sorting it out. Now she goes almost as well as Toby's.
I am very happy to do another one in the spring, any ideas welcome to improve the weekend, course , food or general. I can get a skip for £80, so will get one to make life easier to dispose of rubbish, if numbers allow.
Thanks again.
Cheers,Tony.

No thank you Tony for letting us play in your woods. The night drive was amaizing and I recon if we do it next time get some one to video us all going down Ruby hill, that was definatley a heart in mouth moment. .
Here are a few photos of those of us who re-shaped our side steps.
And here we have a pride of Landcruisers looking for their next meal high on a hill
This next photo is the veiw I had from my truck when I dropped into The 'Bomb hole' or 'Waterfall' on the Strata Florida
This link will take you to the rest of the photos that I have

Many thanks to the organisers, both Tom and I had a really great time just meeting new people and putting a few faces to names. It was a shame to only be able to make Saturday late afternoon and evening, but none the less we had a great time – Thanks! _________________ Peter

Only just noticed this clue to how you might have weakened your diff _________________ Jon m0zxj
