Thanks folks for a good day out. Puncture was not mine this time so I will have to hang onto the Dunflops a while longer.

Having said that, the 120 with "normal" tyres on did surprise me. I was expecting to do much worse through the mud than I did. Only let down was on top of Kiwi hill when I parked on the sloped grass. The more I tried getting back onto the track, the more I slid (sideways) down the hill. Eventually the 80 pulled me out.

The best part was probably going up Kiwi hill. I watched the 90 pick it's way up, then the 120 infront of me made it look easy. With some nerves, I made it half way up before there was a small amount of slip. The traction control kicked in which reminded me I had not locked the centre diff.  Confused
Still, she just crawled up without much fuss. Very happy Smile

Bigyun - No worries about the boerie, Hopefully you enjoyed it..

Some pics: (Could we have the video footage that was taken please SmileSmile )

Thanks agai for a good day - will certainly be at the next one.

I have just been doing some routes on Google earth, i see there is a way of sharing them with a comunity but trying to figure out how its done.
If not, i can post the waypoints as Lat and Long and you will just have to enter them manually on your own gps.
Its easy to get the co-ordinates when you click on google earth Smile

Along this bit of track the water was getting a bit deep, it didn't look too bad as the grass was sticking up through it but it turned out to be very long grass. It was about 1km of ruts filled with water and i was leading and the only one without a snorkel. I just kept my foot down with a nice constant speed, we met up with some idiots in a Sprorttrak that had just killed their engine and had smoke coming out of their snorkel!!!!! On most of the splashes the water was going over my sunroof.
See, even a standard LC is better than other peoples kitted out off roaders Smile

Okay guys, I am after some help here.

I keep taking videos of our exploits but don't have a clue how to post them.
I have tried to put them on Photobucket but it wont recognise the format.

My camera is a Sony Handycam HDD that gives three files on the computer for each film
MT2S, MOFF and MODD.

I need an idiots ( and I mean idiots ) guide on how to post them.

Talking from memory here but on google earth, when you have imported the way points or routes, you should be able to highlight them in the tree where it says My Places. Then click on File > save As from the menu. Saving as a gpx file should be ok. I can confirm tonight though is this is not the case.

The MTY2S file is the one you are after. I am not sure that youtube will allow an upload of them Have you tried? If not, when you are viewing the file in the programme that came with your camera, there should be a way of exporting it to avi. Maybe in the menu, click on menu > Save as or Export something along those lines.

Failing that, I will find a free convertor which is idiot proof and update later.

I do believe the sony application should be able to do it itself though,.
